HOME OF THE SEAAU 16U BOYS BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONS AND RUNNER UP IN THE AAU NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2016
Above the Rim Gym is a Murfreesboro-based basketball academy focused on providing boys ages 7-17 the opportunity to play the game of basketball throughout Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee.
We operate out of our sponsor gym at a local high school as well as several community gyms and elementary schools that support all participants regardless of school attended. Sportsmanship is a cornerstone of our mission in that your child will be expected to not only be committed to the game, but committed to the team and its success. Your child will be expected to be just as good a follower as he/she may be a leader We welcome the opportunity to participate in the life of your child.
Our mission is to utilize sports as the platform to communicate skills to student athletes ranging from ages 7-17 years. These skills will transcend the world of sports to better prepare each child to deal with the world
outside of the gym. Through teaching the fundamentals and advanced skills of basketball, life disciplines will be introduced.
We will nurture the basic tenets of responsibility, teamwork, goal-setting, self-discipline, anger management, sportsmanship, competing fairly, planning, setting priorities, first impressions, respect, and "acting the part". The end result will be a child that is mentally stronger, fundamentally more sound, team-focused, goal-orientated and competitively grounded. We will partner with local organizations from the Middle Tennessee area
that have a vested interest in the development of each child. Please see our sponsors for those businesses that have an invested interest in our athletes.
We are a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization. To donate or provide a sponsorship to a team or specific athlete, call or email (see below).
Thanks for your support.
